Gravel River Resort

Gravel River Resort is located 30 miles East of Nipigon. When my parents bought Gravel River 11 years ago, we transformed the existing business into a resort by finding ways to cater to fishermen and hunters. We also started renting ice huts on Lake Superior during the winter months. Out on the big lake you can catch lake trout, rainbow trout, salmon, whitefish, herring and brook trout. There are also many lakes, rivers and streams that are accessible from Gravel River with brook trout being the most common fish found. Brookies toping 5 lbs are not uncommon, with my biggest almost being 26 inches. In the spring these rivers and streams are loaded with rainbow trout that bring many fishermen from Minnesota and Wisconsin. The grouse hunting is also pretty good and some years there are too many.
